Compressed air

SudoPress is often used for compressed air. Depending on the water and oil content, one needs to choose the correct O-ring.
 
Application
SudoPress Carbon fittings with carbon steel precision pipes according to EN 10305-3 or SudoPress Stainless fittings with stainless steel pipe in accordance with EN10312 or SudoPress Copper fittings with copper pipes according to EN 1057.
 
SudoPress Carbon fittings with carbon steel precision pipes can be used for compressed air, if the following conditions are with:
 

  • Water content: up to 880 mg / m3, Class 3, ISO 8573 Part 1
  • Oil content: max 25 mg / m3, class 5, ISO 8573 Part 1

At a higher water content SudoPress Copper or Stainless should be used. For compressed air on the basis of mineral oil or vegetable oil the use of O-rings FPM is prescribed. EPDM O-rings can be used only for synthetic oil (max. 25 mg / m3) or dry compressed air.
 

  • O-rings: EPDM (black)
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +110°C
  • O-rings: Viton (green)
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +200°C
  • Max. temperature (short time) 230°C
  • Working pressure: 12 to 54 mm up to 16 bar

 
SudoPress Copper fittings with copper pipes according to EN 1057 R220 / R250 / R290.
 

  • O-rings: EPDM (black)
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +110°C
  • O-rings: Viton (green)
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +200°C
  • Max. temperature (short time) 230°C
  • Working pressure: max. 10 bar
